Bos en Duin is beautifully situated at the National Park Dunes of Texel. Wonderfully sheltered by the forest, the hotel offers a view of the meadows covered with Dutch Texel sheep. We are near the beach, yet central to the island.Arrival and departure days are Friday, Monday and Tuesday. Outside the high season other arrival and departure day are also possible.

At a magnificent location you find Bos en Duin, right on the edge of Nationaal Park 'De Duinen van Texel' (dunes of Texel). The facilities of an hotel and the comfort of apartments. Apartments available for 2 and 4 persons. A calm and spacious spot bordering on the woods, with a plethora of hiking and biking possibilities right outside the door. The well-known lookout-tower 'Fonteinsnol' can be found within a 100 meters. The beach as well as the villages Den Hoorn, De Koog and Den Burg are at just a few kilometers. The beautiful and central location make it very easy to enjoy everything Texel has to offer.

Area information

Bos en Duin is wonderfully situated, right next to the national park De Duinen van Texel (Dunes of Texel). The tranquil and spacious location at the edge of the forest provides our guests with ample hiking and cycling opportunities just outside the door and a mountain bike route of 10 km long. Less then 100 m from the hotel you will find the well-known watchtower Fonteinsnol and the villages Den Hoorn, De Koog and Den Burg are only a few kilometres away.The beautiful and central location ensures that you can easily enjoy all that Texel has to offer.

Travel information

No island can be reached as quickly or as easily as Texel. The boat leaves every hour (at xx.30) from Den Helder. During a great part of the year the boat even goes twice an hour on changeover days. It is not possible, nor necessary, to reserve a seat on the boat.You can reach Bos en Duin from where the boat comes in by driving past Den Burg and turning left into side road number 11 (third roundabout). Continue to follow the signs.

Bos en Duin offers 35 fully furnished apartments, for 2 persons and for 4 persons. Each apartment consists of a living room with an open kitchen, (a) twin room(s) (no bunk beds) and a bathroom with shower and toilet.All apartments are provided with a television, radio, CD player and telephone. The apartments are located on the ground floor and the first and second floor and most come with a terrace or balcony.

Because of its central location, this family hotel makes a great starting point for excursions by bike, a nice walk or a ride around the island. In Bos en Duin stay in a comfortable apartment with hotel services. In the morning, you'll find a rich breakfast buffet in the attractive restaurant. Your accommodation comprises a living room with kitchen, bedroom (s) with twin beds, comfortable bathroom with shower and toilet. Television, radio / CD player and DVD player are among the standard. All apartments have free internet access. Smoking is not allowed in the apartments and common areas. In the hotel garden is a table tennis table and entertainment for the little ones on the playground. Your car can be parked free at the hotel.
