Hotel details

Stay at the Pollfoss Hotell when you travel through East Norway’s Billingsdal valley. Located 187 km/116.2 miles north of Lillehammer, this historic Norway hotel has a gorgeous setting at the Pollfossen waterfall, between Reinheimen National Park and Breheimen National Park. The first guest accommodation at the falls was built in 1889, and it was expanded into the current building approx. 5 years later, when the road through to Stryn was constructed. Today public areas of the Pollfoss Hotell og Gjestehus, though decorated with antiques such as old tools and mailbags, are also equipped with Wi-Fi internet access. Visitors can relax in the TV room near the open fireplace or use the sauna in the basement. The hotel restaurant features fresh local ingredients such as moose meat and trout from mountain streams. This area of Oppland County is known for its scenic lakes and waterfalls. Visitors often enjoy taking long hikes in the Strynefjellet mountains or climbing peaks in the Jotunheimen area. There is abundant wildlife in Reinheimen National Park, especially the wild reindeer (caribou) in the Ottadalen valley. In Stryn, 112 km/69.6 miles to the west, you can enjoy glacier skiing year-round.
