We have found additional info about this hotel![]() Book a room at the Pałac Łomnica if you’ve ever dreamed of staying at a country castle. This enchanting Silesia hotel is on a genuine manor estate in Łomnica, Gmina Mysłakowice, a 10 minute drive from the historic town centre of Jelenia Góra (called Hirschberg im Riesengebirge in German). Built starting in the early 1700s, the Pałac Łomnica was owned for more than 100 years by the von Küster family, until it was seized during World War II. In 1991, the von Küster family began buying back pieces of the estate and painstakingly restoring it for public use: the Small Castle as a cosy hotel and restaurant, the Great Castle as a cultural centre and museum, and the Manor Farm (Dominium) as a living museum where visitors can pet farm animals and buy productions from local farmers and artisans. Guests can enjoy traditional Polish farm cuisine in the charming hotel restaurant, on the terrace in summertime, or in the less formal Old Stables Restaurant. The estate park stretches for 1 km/0.6 mile along the River Bober, offering landscaped gardens, trails, and a small children’s play area. In a single day you can tour 3 royal summer residences in the Hirschberg Valley: a palace in Wojanów, a chateau in Mysłakowice, and a Neogothic castle in Karpniki. Also worth exploring is the Baroque city of Jelenia Góra at the foot of the Karkonosze (Polish for Giant) Mountains. You can visit the headquarters of Karkonosze National Park in Jelenia Góra to prepare for outdoor recreation in the park. The Pałac Łomnica is approx. a 30 minute drive from the Karpacz ski resort and a 35 minute drive from the Szklarska Poreba ski area. |
