Quinta da Maragoça is about 8 km from Penafiel very near Termas de S. Vicente, famous for its natural sulphurous waters, which are very good for respiratory illness. This area is rich in monuments such as the Monasteries of Paço de Sousa and Cête as well as convents, churches and manor houses spread all over. The ancient Roman city of Monte Mozinho and the dolmen of Cruz da Giesteira are also very near and can be easily visited. Famous for good bread and cookies, you can also enjoy popular country fairs with good local food.

By Car:- Take the A4 from Porto to Penafiel-Sul/Entre-os-Rios. - Then take the EN 106 in the direction of Entre-os-Rios until Oldrões. - Here you turn right to the EN 590 in the direction of Valpedre.- In about 1.5 km you will find Quinta da Maragossa.
