The Whale Song Lodge is a gorgeous 4-star guest house in De Kelders – South Africa. It overlooks Walker Bay and is a very comfortable home away from home. The area is most known for being an excellent location to spot the Southern Right Whale and it is possible to watch for the whales without even leaving your room. This includes whale watching, shark diving, fishing, kayaking and scuba diving. You can take a boat tour of Dyer Island, which is a great place to see wildlife, such as seals, penguins, and sea birds. You can take a river cruise of the Klein River, which has beautiful scenery and over 130 species of birds to view. You may also take hiking trips on the several trails in the area, including the Klipgat Trail and the Groot Melkhout Trail. If you just wish to relax during your stay in De Kenders, there are many enjoyable ways to do that as well. You can tour the village at Gansbaai or wander around the harbor. You may visit the wineries and do tastings or a tour of the vineyards. You can play a round of golf. It is also possible to just visit the beach, strolling on the sand and enjoying watching the surf. After a busy day, you can return to the guest house for rest and relaxation and perhaps a story or two from the proprietors.
