Area information
A 20-minute drive through the city will take you to the base of Cape Town’s famous landmark, Table Mountain. From there you can walk or climb to the top or enjoy the breathtaking views from the cable car. You can then continue to Signal Hill, the ideal spot to take in the sunset and watch the city slowly light up. Day trips include Robben Island, site of the prison that once held Nelson Mandela, and a tour to the heart of the South African winelands.

■ By car From Cape Town International Airport:▪ Take the N2 towards City/Stad (11,5 km).▪ Take Exit 9 - M5 Milnerton/N1 City, turn off left.▪ Continue till Exit 4 - R27 Paarden Eiland/Milnerton (6,8 km).▪ Take this turn off and continue to 5th set of traffic lights (5,4 km).▪ Turn right into Loxton Road.▪ Almost immediately take 1st left into Ascot Road.▪ Almost immediately take 1st left again into Cotswold Drive.▪ Continue to 2nd left (still Cotswold Drive) and about 200m ahead keep to the left and our entrance is on the right hand side at end of cul-de-sac.From Cape Town City Centre:▪ Take N1 out of town.▪ Keep left, onto the N1.▪ Take Exit 4 onto R27, towards Milnerton, around 5,4 km or until the fifth set of traffic lights.▪ Turn right into Loxton Road.▪ Almost immediately take 1st left into Ascot Road.▪ Almost immediately take 1st left again into Cotswold Drive.▪ Continue to 2nd left (still Cotswold Drive) and about 200m ahead keep to the left and our entrance is on the right hand side at end of cul-de-sac.
Food & beverage
Full breakfast is served in a sunny room that looks out onto the vine-covered patio and swimming pool. You are also welcome to use the room for dinner, delivered from a choice of nearby restaurants.The Governor's Bar is a cosy place for a drink before or after dinner. It's an honesty bar, so if the hosts are not around, you can just help yourself.
