The Hotel Alpina is a child- and family-friendly hotel with a big garden and a children's playground in Kandersteg in the Bernese Oberland.We offer mountain view from all rooms, a lounge with an open fireplace, a pleasant restaurant and a leisure room with TV and video. In summer a terrace restaurant and deck chairs are available. You can also play table tennis and darts. In winter there is direct access to the cross-country ski runs.

Area information

This beautiful mountain village is 1200 metres above sea level. It is surrounded by imposing mountains and unspoilt landscape. This was formed by glaciers and volcanoes many thousands of years ago. Traces of glaciers can still be found.

The restaurant serves a number of different Swiss specialities, including our famous home-made ‘Steintal rösti’, cheese fondue and the special house coffee.

The Hotel Alpina in Kandersteg is a child and family friendly offering a large garden and a playground. The municipality of Kandersteg is located at the end of the wonderful Kander Valley at about 3,940 feet altitude. In winter there is direct access to the wonderful cross country ski tracks.
