Situated on a sunny terrace in the picturesque village of Lens, overlooking the impressive Rhône Valley, the family-run Chalet des Alpes is just a 5-minute walk away from the village centre.The recently constructed chalet, built in traditional Valaisian style, features en-suite rooms with amazing mountain views.Wireless internet access is available in the entire Chalet des Alps free of charge.Enjoy freshly cooked food from organic and local produce. Meat is cooked on a griddle, the soups and sauces are home-made where possible and vegetables are steamed.Evening meals are available most nights but need to be ordered in advance. There is a panoramic dining area with a comfortable guest lounge and open fire in the winter. There is also a large sunny balcony for all guests to use.Stunning walking and mountain-bike paths start from the chalet's door.Lens village has a couple of restaurants, a small supermarket, a bank and a post office.It takes just 10 minutes to drive to the nearest ski lift of Crans Montana. From December to mid April free transfers to the ski hire shop and lifts are offered. This is better than the ski bus as you will be dropped right by the lift station.In summer, swim in crystal clear lakes or take the lift up to the Plaine Morte Glacier at 3000 metres.Geneva is only a 2-hour drive (mostly motorways) away from the Chalet des Alpes. It is also very easy to visit Zermatt, Altetsch Glacier, Leukerbad, Lake Geneva, Montreux and Gruyeres.

Travel information

By public transport:- From the Sion train station you can take the Post Bus, leaving about twice an hour for Lens.Transfers to / from Sierre station can be arranged as well. Please contact the Chalet for details.

Room information

All bedrooms can be twin or double rooms. Please confirm your choice when making your reservation.The rooms cannot have more than 2 beds and there are no family rooms available.Children are welcome but they will need to have their own room. There are no child discounts.
