Location. The Hotel Plattenhof is located in Zurich, Switzerland, 800 meters from the narrow cobble stoned streets and historic buildings of Old Town. Many Zurich sites are 800 meters away, including the Swiss National Museum, Fraumunster Church, the University of Zurich and Calatrava Library. The zoo and Bahnhofstrasse are less than two kilometers from the property.
Hotel Features. The four story Hotel Plattenhof provides two dining environments. The Sento Restaurant serves Italian Piemontese cuisine on custom Italian tables and illuminated with low lighting. Cocktails, lattes and hot paninos are located in the Sento Bar and Lounge. Complimentary breakfasts are served daily. High speed Internet access and a naturally lit, 26 square meter meeting room accommodating up to 18 people are available.

Guestrooms. The 37 guestrooms at the Hotel Plattenhof feature a cool color scheme including ivory, sapphire and grey with oak parquet flooring. Rooms also showcase custom Italian furniture. Wireless Internet access, satellite television and video game consoles are available. Bathrooms include bathrobes and designer toiletries.

Approximate distance to the hotel is 12 kilometers.

The airport shuttle bus runs every half hour and stops outside the hotel. The airport has a Swiss Federal Railways Station located under Terminal B, with trains to central Zurich and many city and tourist destinations across Switzerland. Taxis can be found outside terminals A and B. The bus terminal is located adjacent to car park B, ten regular bus lines serve regional towns and villages.

The Designhotel Plattenhof is conveniently located in a residential area in the heart of the university district, in the centre of Zurich. In the immediate vicinity guests will find numerous sights and attractions such as the City Theatre, the Art Museum Zurich, one of the largest art collections in Switzerland and the opera house. The Mediaeval Old Town, popular area for shopping, entertainment, theatres, cinemas, restaurants, bars and clubs, is only 10 walking minutes away and the lake of Zurich and the Bellevue, with breathtaking view of the lake and the Alps, can be reached on foot in approximately 15 minutes.
