Location. The modern X TRA Hotel is located in a renovated Bauhaus building in central Zurich, 500 metres from the train station and less than a kilometre from the old town and Bahnhofstrasse shopping district. Two trams stop in front of the hotel making it an easy starting point for reaching other parts of the city. Zurich Airport lies 12 kilometres away.
Hotel Features. Personnel at the 24 hour front desk can book city tours and other excursions. Limited parking spaces are available in the hotel's garage for CHF 15 per day.

At X TRA Restaurant, natural light pours through floor to ceiling windows in this casual setting where dark wood floors, tables and chairs set off cream walls accented with a deep red columns. The lunch specials change daily and during the summer months the garden terrace is open and barbeque is on the menu. International cuisine is served at dinner. Zurich's famous X TRA Bar has a lounge and chillout area with low grey velvet ottomans and metal tables softly lit with hanging cylinder lamps; movie set style track lights hang from the red ceiling and beam over the cement and metal bar. Open from 4 PM to 2 AM, cocktails and snacks are served.

Guests receive complimentary entrance to the X TRA Club when there's a DJ, and a discounted entrance for live events and concerts. The club spreads over two floors and houses a stage for concerts, a dance floor, and snack stations.

Guestrooms. X TRA Hotel offers 39 guestrooms located on four floors, all of which are individually decorated with bright colours, contemporary paintings and bedside lamps. Amenities include direct dial phones, minibars, cable television, wireless and dial up Internet access, and safes. Bathrooms come with showers and hair dryers.

Expert Tip. The St Felix and St Regula Church has an original design and is dedicated the sibling martyrs who were decapitated on orders from the Roman Emperor, Decius.

Driving directions

Getting there: A shuttle service (surcharge) is offered to and from the airport. The airport has a Swiss Federal Railways Station located under Terminal B, take the train to the main ZH (central Zurich) station and from there either walk (500 metres) to take Tram no.4 or no.13 to the Limmatplatz stop which is in front of the hotel. Taxis can be found outside terminals A and B; fare to city centre is approximately 50 CHF (35 EUR).

Driving directions: From the airport, follow the signs to Zurich city. After several tunnels, turn right to Limmatplatz; remain in the right lane, on the bridge turn left to Limmatplatz; remain in the far right lane; at the circle Limmatplatz go right, pass Migros and turn right at the very first street; at the end, turn right again. After approximately 100 metres there is a yellow sign for Hotel X TRA, turn right and after the first intersection turn right again.
