Dating from 1845, Dalrachney Lodge was, up to 1970, a sporting lodge central to one of Scotland’s largest estates. Additions were made to the building through the turn of the century, linking the Victorian and Edwardian periods. Many members of the Royal Family have stayed here as private guests of the Estate owner, including King George V who was a keen sportsman. His gun cart as used here can be seen in a local museum.

No modern extensions or accommodation annexes will be found here - only the original buildings.The hotel is situated on the outskirts of the historic village of Carrbridge, close to the train station and easily accessible from the A9 that leads to the city of Inverness. Queen Victoria once described the village as ‘the jewel of the North’ and when you come to stay at the hotel you will soon realise why.

A number of activities are available in Carrbirdge and Aviemore (10km). The hustle and bustle of central Inverness is a 20 minute drive away.
Travel information
The hotel is located 2 km off the A9 central Highland trunk route (Perth to Inverness), 23 miles south of Inverness and 5 miles north of Aviemore. By Car:- Take the Carrbridge exit off the A9 and follow signs to Carrbridge. - The hotel is located and signed directly opposite the Carrbridge Golf Course on the A938 set back from the road in its own grounds.
