Immersed within nearly an acre of private gardens, this family-run hotel is set within an oasis of peace and tranquility at the gateway to the beautiful Wye Valley. Originally built in the late 1800’s, this large Victorian house has been updated to offer all modern comforts, although many of the original features of the house have been preserved. During your visit you can see the traditional tiled entrance hall and elaborate ceiling plasterwork in the lounge and restaurant. Only half a mile from the centre of Ross-on-Wye, The Chasedale is an ideal base from which to explore the lower reaches of the Wye Valley (ANOB) and its wonderful surroundings.

Explore the Forest of Dean to the south; the Malvern Hills and black and white villages of Herefordshire to the north; the Golden Valley, the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains to the west; and Gloucester, Cheltenham and the Cotswolds to the east.There are plenty of opportunities for outside pursuits, especially walking. Golfers are also well catered for with a wide variety of courses within easy reach.If you are bringing your dog, you can find great walking around the grounds and in Chase Woods, which is just 5-minutes away.
