It was formerly used as a convent, and has retained its peaceful atmosphere.Spacious twin and double en suite rooms feature a TV, DVD player and hospitality tray. A ground floor room is available which may be suitable for guests with mobility difficulties.

The Mull Of Galloway is the setting for the BBC series Two Thousand Acres Of Sky. It is Scotland's most southerly point and on a clear day Ireland, The Isle of Man and Cumbria are all visible. Portpatrick marks the beginning of The Southern Upland Way and there are many pleasant local walks and beaches in the surrounding area. There are 4 local golf courses within a 10 mile radius, and there are many local gardens including Logan Botanical Gardens.

Cross Haven Guest House is a family run 3-star bed and breakfast, located very close to Stranraer Town Centre in Scotland. The house was once a convent, and retains many of the unique features from that time, as well as a calming atmosphere, making it an ideal location for couples and families. The guest house is located near the Stranraer golf club, Stranraer football club and the Ryan Leisure Centre with swimming pool, theatre and spa facilities. Guests also have the option of taking a stroll in the Castle Kennedy Gardens, 30 hectares of gardens created by men and horses, taking the ferry to Belfast and Larne, or shopping in the town of Wigtown. Transport links from Stranraer to Ireland and Glasgow are easily accessible. Free wireless internet is available throughout the common areas. Pets are welcome. Room only rates are available.
